It's typical "conservative" incrementalism: After the Justice Department received the info it asked for--the text of all anonymous search inquiries--it'd eventually ask for select by-name "samplings" upon which "time restricted" searches would be performed. How, subsequent to the initial good-intentioned cooperation, could you reasonably object for the sake of national security? Good for Google.
