I try to cut President Carter as much slack as possible, but I have to admit I have a hard time believing he's being swamped with questions about how the US has always tried to protect the environment (our reputation is exaclty the opposite), or that the Establishment Clause is at the top of everyone's mind right now (given the enormously unpopular war and all).

I chalk this up to old age, and ask that folks give this octogenarian a break.
