What's So Tough to Understand Here?
Before I lay me down, my apology to the president for misinterpreting his "tough talk" on the war in Iraq:
“Saying "Bring it on." Kind of tough talk, you know, that sent the wrong signal to people . . . You know, "Wanted dead or alive," that kind of talk. I think in certain parts of the world it was misinterpreted."
Misinterpreted. Like if you didn't listen closely to what he said above, you could misinterpret it to mean Iraq before the war had something to do with Al-Qaida. But we all know that'd be a hell of a misinterpretation.

I'm sorry, am I misreading your post or are you trying to make the utterly discredited argument that Iraq had nothing to to with Al Qaida?
"In certain parts of the world" like, say the USA. Or maybe its regional. Maybe in the North East, "I'm gonna kick your ass" means "let's have a polite discourse to settle our dissagreements. There's still plenty of time to avoid a fight." Try the "missunderstood" line with your girlfriends/wives. When she say's "does this dress make me look fat?" Say "yes." Then when you're talking to a door, say, "baby, you missunderstood me. It's because of where you're from. Where I was brought up, 'yes' means "no, you look beautiful.' See, it's culteral." Then all will be well in the house again.
I also like Blair, "I think it's easy to go back over mistakes that we may have made, but the biggest reason why Iraq has been difficult is the determination by our opponents to defeat us."
It's like a boxer saying that problem with winning the fight was that his opponent was fighting back. Wow, who could have predicted THAT.
